HYDERABAD: The much awaited verdict in the 2007 Lumbini Park- twin blasts, which was scheduled to be pronounced on Monday, was postponed to September 4 by the local court in Hyderabad.

While speaking to media at Nampally court, public prosecutor Seshu Reddy Challa, representing the investigating agency, Counter Intelligence Cell (CI Cell) of , said that the court adjourned the judgement for September 4.

However, he did not elaborate the reason for postponement of the judgement. The five accused, who are currently lodged in Central Prison in Hyderabad, were produced before the court through video conference.

In the twin terror blasts occurred on August 25, 2007, at and Gokul Chat eatery , 44 persons died and several others suffered injuries.

The investigation agency, after probe, concluded that it was the handiwork of alleged operatives and arrested five persons. Three other accused, including the Indian Mujahideen founding member Riyaz Bhatkal and his brother have been named as absconding accused in the case.
