A pair of thieves broke into a primary school to steal children’s milk in the early hours of the morning.

Police in Northumbria said that one man climbed over a fence, grabbed the bottles, and passed them to an accomplice waiting on the other side.

Usworth Grange Primary School in Washington, Tyne and Wear, was targeted at about 4.30am on July 16.

Officers have released CCTV images of two men they want to trace in relation to the incident.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: ‘It is believed that an offender climbed over the fence and then passed the bottles of milk through to another waiting on the other side, before making off.

‘Enquiries are ongoing, and police have now identified two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

‘They were seen to be in the area at the time of the offence, so may be able to help with the investigation.’
